Why it exists
Built by a co-op employee, for co-ops.
I've spent over a decade inside distribution co-ops doing this work. I've worked countless storms, managed joint-use permits and transfers, fought a truck full of papers, and chased easements across co-op file cabinets and county courthouses.
Solutions existed, but required piecing together multiple programs, or using ones that were built for investor-owned utilities, and priced for them too. So, like any co-op worker, I took what I had and created my own solution. The goal: to make everyone's life at the co-op a little easier, while helping to better serve our members. CoopTools is field-focused, built for cooperative employees, and mindful of a cooperative budget.
